1. 🟢 🚕 Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis (40–90 min) 🚾
One of the most beautiful places for photos: a street of mausoleums built around the tomb of Qusam ibn Abbas. Stunning ornamentation: mosaics, majolica, painting. The blue glaze of the domes is especially mesmerizing at sunrise. A definite must!

2. 🟡 🚶‍♂️ Hazrat Khizr Mosque (10–15 min)
A small but beautifully decorated 19th-century mosque. A treat for lovers of ornamental design.

3. 🟡 🚶‍♂️ Islam Karimov Mausoleum (5–15 min)
The modern mausoleum of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It offers a magnificent view of the Bibi-Khanym Mosque.

4. 🟡 🚶‍♂️ Siab Bazaar (15–60 min) 🏧
The oldest bazaar in Samarkand. You can buy famous local flatbreads and sweets, and find budget-friendly souvenirs.

5. 🟢 🚶‍♂️ Bibi-Khanym Mosque (15–30 min)
The largest mosque in Samarkand, built on the orders of Tamerlane. Magnificent, though heavily ruined.

6. 🟡 🚶‍♂️ Bibi-Khanym Mausoleum (5–20 min) 🚾
The mausoleum of Tamerlane's beloved wife, Saray Mulk Khanum. Located right across from the mosque.

7. 🟡 🚶‍♂️ Stroll along Tashkentskaya pedestrian street (15 min) 🚾 🏧 🍽
Once part of the Great Silk Road. Now a pedestrian street lined with souvenir shops and cafés.

8. ⚪️ 🚶‍♂️ Chor-Su Trading Dome (2–10 min)
A small ancient dome, now an exhibition hall for contemporary artists and craftsmen.

9. ⚪️ 🚶‍♂️ Shaybanid Dakhma (2–3 min)
The tomb of the 16th-century rulers of the Shaybanid dynasty. You can approach it closely or simply view it from a distance.

10. 🟢 🚶‍♂️ Registan Square (60–120 min) 🚾 🍽
A grand ceremonial square with three madrasahs: Ulugbek (15th century), Sher-Dor and Tilya-Kori (17th century). An absolute must-visit!

11. 🟡 🚶‍♂️/🚕 Rukhabad Mausoleum (5–15 min)
A modest yet monumental mausoleum on the way to Gur-e-Amir.

12. 🟢 🚶‍♂️/🚕 Gur-e-Amir, the Mausoleum of Tamerlane (20–40 min) 🚾
A striking finale to the tour. A must-see for both architecture and history — Tamerlane himself, Ulugbek, and other famous descendants are buried here.
